Guest Blogger: Pat Newlin

As most of you know, I wrote a book about our booster club. While I was in this book writing phase of my life, I subscribed to Writer's Digest. Last week's advice from their e-mail newsletter had several thoughts about writing good blogs including the suggestion that I occasionally use a "guest blogger." Amazing! The same day I received the following e-mail from Kristen Newlin's mom, Pat. Thus, Pat has the distinction of becoming my first guest blogger. Thanks, Pat!

I have attached some pictures of Kristen and Seb from an all-star game they played in on Sunday, Jan. 13. Twelve Turkish descent players were selected to play against twelve non-Turkish descent players who play in Turkey. You can see on the red team Seb is on the far right and Kristen is in the back center of the blue team. Kristen’s team won 106 – 85.
Thought you might want to include that info from this e-mail in one of your upcoming blogs to other Stanford boosters could see what Kristen and Seb are doing in Turkey. Also including the link again of the all-star stats so you can see who all played and how they did.

Unfortunately Kristen is nursing a sprained ankle she sustained from the all-star game. I hope she is able to play on Thursday ‘cause they’ll need her against this Russian team in the EuroCup. Link to the stats of the all-star game:
