Friends on the Road

Does basketball travel get boring? Never.
In addition to the basketball games, I enjoy the fans--both our travelers and the "locals."
Last year I wrote about some friends along the way, and this year I mentioned the attendees at the game in Salt Lake City (November 19). More recent examples of such Stanford fans include the following.

• New Mexico: a friend of many years who lives in Texas came to join me in Albuquerque. Also Paula, former Bay Area resident.
• Los Angeles: Heather, Stanford alum and formerly on the Board of the Buck/Cardinal Club. Cousin Tom. Several Stanford basketball alumnae, especially Sarah Dimson and Vanessa Nygaard (see right).
• Arizona: Caroline, former Bay Area resident (see above, gray Stanford shirt sitting next to me).
  

Next trip--Oregon--I get to see my Aunt Jean.
